Austin FC II Defeats LAFC 2 For Sixth Straight Win

Austin FC II picked up another three points on Sunday night for its sixth consecutive win, defeating LAFC 2 2-0 at Parmer Field.

In a physical first half, Austin FC II tallied five total shots but was unable to find the net, and goalkeeper Erik Lauta made a key save to keep the match scoreless.  

Ervin Torres came on at the half and provided the Verde & Black’s first goal of the night in the 63rd minute with a free kick straight through traffic into the bottom right corner. Ibrahima Sall capitalized on a mistake from LAFC 2’s defense and doubled Austin’s lead just two minutes later for his third goal of the season. 

This win extends Austin FC II’s team-record unbeaten streak to 11 and its winning streak to six, with 5 of those 6 wins coming as shutouts.
